THE NAME:

Faith Mission is the English translation of Mission par la Foi (Mission by the Faith), a gospel ministry outreach to
hundreds of thousands of people in south-west Haiti. In 1947, Robert Rocourt and his American-born wife, Esther,
felt the call to discipleship in the rugged area of western Haiti. They acted on faith and started the work without
assurance of outside help at that time. The early years were times of hardships, but God’s goodness and provision
prevailed. Since that time, Faith Mission has operated on the promise that God’s work performed in God’s way will
never lack God’s supply.

ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE:

Mission par la Foi is registered with the Haitian Department of Religion (a government requirement) and maintains a
high degree of credibility and rapport with the Haitian government. All ministry operations are governed by a
committee of Mission par la Foi pastors.

After the accidental death of Robert Rocourt, his widow sought assistance from friends in the United States, who
eventually organized Faith Mission, Inc., tax-exempt corporation. Faith Mission, Inc., is governed by a Board of
Directors who serve without compensation. Copies of the constitution, bylaws, and financial statements are available
upon request.

The U.S Board of Directors works very closely with the Haitian National committee. An annual conference with
Haitian representation is held in the United States each fall, and an annual convention is held each February in Haiti
with American delegates present. United States based missionary personnel continue to serve in Haiti at the request
of and under the jurisdiction of the Haitian National Committee of Mission par la Foi.

THE MINISTRY:

By God’s provision the Rocourt’s acted on their God given call by planting churches and opening an orphanage and
a dispensary. Later they were able to expand to include an agricultural program, a training institute for national
leaders, and Christian schools for children.

FINANCIAL SUPPORT:

Since its founding in 1947, Faith Mission has operated by believing that God through His faithful people, will always
provide the necessary financial support. This support has been provided through voluntary contributions from
individuals, churches, Sunday school classes, youth groups, Christian Missionary Societies. Because Faith Mission
desires to use as much of the contributions as possible in Haiti, only expenses for clerical postage, printing, and
shipping cost are spent in the US. No real estate or vehicles are owned or maintained in the U.S. by Faith Mission
Inc.
As the Lord would direct you to share in His work through Faith Mission, you can be confident that your
contributions will be used to benefit God’s work in Haiti.
